Eagle Rock Camp retreats are open to every branch of the military including active duty, National Guard, reservists and veteran families who believe they would benefit from a therapeutic retreat.

Application for Military Families

Thank you for your application!  We are excited that you would like to attend Eagle Rock Camp.  To ensure a speedy process, please take a few moments to complete our application, taking care to provide all the information requested.  We process applications in the order that they are received.

Eagle Rock Camp sessions are open to all branches of the military, active duty or veteran families, who believe that they would benefit from attending our therapeutic camp. Please know that our camp sessions are not “free vacations”. They are therapeutic camps with interactive workshops along with therapeutic recreation. It takes a serious commitment to your family to have a successful experience.

Family is defined as the people closest to you that offer support. Traditional families, single parents, siblings, your parents and in-laws, and care providers and service dogs are all welcome.

As additional funding is secured, the frequency of camp sessions will increase. Because of the generosity of a large number of people, we are pleased to offer scholarships to cover the $3,000 cost for your family to attend these retreats. (For families with more than two children, the additional value is $500 per child). Please help us spread the word and participate in fund raising activities with your families. If you would like to host a fundraiser in your local community, we have easy ideas to share with you. Just ask a member of our team!

SPECIAL NOTICE: Once you are assigned and confirmed to attend a retreat, a $100 Commitment Fee (via check) is required to secure your reservation date. The original un-cashed check will be returned to you upon your arrival at the retreat. Your retreat reservation will be secured once your check is received.

Please write “Commitment Fee” in the memo line of your check or money order and mail it to Eagle Rock Camp, P O Box 181, Newton, NC 28658

We have to guarantee your reservation with our host location 30 days prior to arrival. If you cancel your retreat reservation less than 30 days before your retreat date or are a no-show for your scheduled retreat, you will move into the wait-list for a period of two years and your check will be cashed. All funds will be allocated to program costs.

Once you are assigned to a retreat, communication is vitally important. If your phone number or email address changes, please notify us immediately. 704.325.3350 or info@eaglerockcamp.org. If you have any questions about your retreat, please contact us.

Thank you all for your service and sacrifices and we look forward to meeting you soon! We will automatically sign you up for our newsletter to keep current with all of our exciting news and plans! Please let us know if your email or phone number changes.

Once we receive your completed application, you will be contacted by an Eagle Rock Camp staff member for further details.

Per the American’s with Disabilities Act, pets or emotional support animals (ESA’s) are NOT authorized at our retreat locations. Only service dogs that are task-trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability are allowed. It is illegal in most states to pass off an untrained dog as a service dog. This is taken very seriously. If you bring any animal other than a task-trained service dog as defined by the ADA, you will be asked to leave the retreat at your own expense and will be asked to reimburse the scholarship fee of $3,000. Please check below whether you will bring a service dog that is task-trained. *

No, I will not bring a task-trained service dog

What are your transportation needs?*

We will get ourselves there. Shortest wait time, sometimes NO wait time :

We require partial scholarship of up to $200. This is paid out upon arrival at the retreat and requires receipts. Wait time for this is 12-18 months.

We require full scholarship for travel costs. Wait time for this is 2-4 years

Please note that full sponsorship for travel has the longest wait for a retreat (2-4 years). If only partial sponsorship of travel is needed, we can offer a retreat in 1-24 months. If no scholarship is needed, you have the shortest wait and often you may have your first retreat choice.
